Walk This Way offers Basic & Intermediate Obedience, AKC CGC Certification, Agility, Behavior Seminars & Puppy Playgroups. Classes are small and time is set aside at the beginning of every session to answer specific questions from each client. Email us if you'd like to audit a class.

Camp Bow Wow - 4716 Austell Place, Long Island City

• Basic Obedience Classes for Puppies and Adults - $219 - 1 hour per week for 4 weeks - These classes cover basic commands as well as addressing good doggie manners (no mouthing, no jumping, housetraining).

Back To Dog School -- FREE leash SEMINARS!

Does your dog drag you down the street? Are you both gasping for air by the end of your morning stroll? Walk This Way is offering FREE leash walking seminars to Camp Bow Wow clients!

On Saturday, September 11th at 10am, 11am, and again at noon, bring your pup by to learn some polite leash manners!

Due to the response to these seminars, you must sign up in advance. Email renee@doggiecouch.com to get on the VIP list!

 

Monster Mutt Doggie Daycare

297 Warren Street between Court Street & Smith Street in Cobble Hill

• Puppy Playgroup: Sundays 11am-12 - $10 For puppies under 6 months of age. This group is purely social time where your little one will learn to speak "dog." We require 2 rounds of puppy shots as well as a Bordetella vaccine. Please bring your records. Playgroup is over for the summer. We resume on September 12th.

• Puppy and Adult Obedience Classes - $219 - classes are 1 hour in duration and are at the same time every week for 4 weeks

Puppy class is for dogs under six months of age - classes at 8pm on weeknights & 12pm on Sundays  
Adult class is for dogs OVER six months of age - classes at 9pm on weeknights & 1pm on Sundays 
These classes cover basic commands as well as addressing good doggie manners (no mouthing, no jumping, housetraining).

  • Monday, September 27th at 8pm and 9pm

  • Thursday, January 20th at 8pm and 9pm

• Intermediate Obedience Classes - $179 - 1 hour per week for 4 weeks - only $100 for dogs repeating the class -This course takes what your pup learned in basic class and builds on that knowledge. We work to proof the stay and coming when called commands around distraction, teach your dog to do the sit/down/stay commands from a distance, make sure he’s listening to you even when he’s not looking in your direction, and stop a running dog in his tracks. These classes are open to dogs that have taken our basic class, or that have been evaluated and deemed ready for intermediate training.

START DATES:

  • Thursday, September 9th at 8pm
  • Monday, October 25th at 8pm
  • Monday, January 10th at 8pm

• Agility Classes - $179 - 1 hour per week for 4 weeks - only $100 for dogs repeating the class an obstacle course consisting of tunnels, jumps, slides, weave poles, a see-saw & more. Our class is strictly for fun, confidence building and exercise.

START DATES:

  • Thursday, November 18th at 8pm (skipping November 25th)
  • Monday, February 28th at 8pm

SEMINARS - all are $29 and one hour in duration

• New Baby Seminar - all at 6pm (for humans only - no dogs) Planning on starting a family? Concerned about your dog's reaction to a new baby in the house? We'll teach you how to prepare Fido for the baby's arrival, make the change in his life as smooth as possible, and offer tips on how to keep the peace once your baby starts to move around.

• Leash Aggression Seminar - all at 630pm unless otherwise noted Is your dog GREAT at the dog run and doggie daycare…but a bit hard to handle when he/she sees another dog on leash? Want to fix the problem? Or if you have a puppy, wanna PREVENT the problem?

• Leash Walking Seminar - all at 630pm Do you want your dog to be more interested in YOU when you're out for a walk, walk politely on a loose leash, heel (!) and deal with distractions?

• New Dog Seminar - all at 630pm (for humans only - no dogs) Got a new dog or puppy? Not quite sure what you've gotten yourself into? Or are you planning on getting a new dog and want to be fully prepared BEFORE Fido arrives? Learn about house training (to crate or not to crate), what mutt supplies you need, what dog books to read (and what not to read), canine health information, how to prevent certain behavior problems before they start and much much more!

• "Just for Little Dogs" Seminar (for humans only - no dogs) Small dogs experience the world from a whole different level, and this seminar addresses the problems and concerns of the "under 20 pound" crowd. Learn about leash aggression, dog run safety, basic house rules, and all of the special issues that small mutts and their humans face.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL DEPOSITS AND FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Children are welcome, but must be over the age of eight. Only TWO humans per dog -- no exceptions.

We require proof of at least two rounds of puppy boosters (Distemper/Parvo) as well as proof of a Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine. Please be aware that the kennel cough vaccine is not a part of the standard routine of vaccinations, but is required every SIX months by the NYC Department of Health for dogs entering a boarding facility.
